When I first picked up the La Corda d'Oro manga in B&N, Hihara was the first character I noticed on the cover. Three volumes into the series, he's still my favorite character; his design and personality are adorable, plus he's a trumpet player like me! XDXD I want to hug him! Or at the very least, attempt to draw him in all his shirtless glory...

I imagine it would be quite cold holding a trumpet over a bare chest...

Drawn with ink and Copic markers. For the record, I drew and colored this with my trumpet sitting in my lap. The shines in the metal are so hard to capture! >_< But I think they turned out well. I used my new digital camera instead of my scanner, so the colors were not damaged as much. Woot!
